The Mother

  • Instagram

I mother in the margins – where grief meets joy and brilliance is born from the undone. My motherhood is spiritual, emotional, ancestral. I mother those I birthed and those who found me. I hold space for breathing, becoming, and breaking without shame. In a world that demands silence, I raise voices and nurture truth.

As a mother and maternal mental health advocate, I merge lived experience with leadership. I authored Mommy, Are You Ok? to support the emotional and spiritual wellbeing of Black mothers often unseen by traditional systems. With over 15 years in mental health and an academic foundation in psychology, pastoral theology, and pastoral care, I create spaces where mothers are heard, held, and healed – without apology.

The Minister

  • Youtube

I preach from pulpits and in inboxes, at altars and over text threads. My ministry is lived, not just licensed – rooted in liberation, shaped by silence, and fueled by sacred questions. I lead from the deep, where faith and fire dance. I don’t perform church. I embody it.

Ordained in the AME Church, I hold dual master’s degrees in Divinity and Christian Education. I’ve pastored, preached, and taught across pulpits, campuses, and communities. As a former CPE chaplain and current public theologian, my ministry integrates faith, justice, and soul work. Whether leading training cohorts, building QTA, or mentoring clergy, I minister beyond titles – grounded in integrity, cultural care, and sacred disruption.

The Misfit

  • Facebook

I never fit the mold, and I stopped trying. I’m the one who brings glitter to grief and asks “why” when others whisper “just because.” I am both reverent and rebellious. I don’t follow the rules. I follow the Spirit.

Yes, I’m degreed and certified – with a background in psychology, theology, and nonprofit leadership. I’ve served as a program director, nonprofit leader, speaker, writer, and bridgebuilder.

But my real training? Life – disrupting silos and filling voids. I’ve always questioned frameworks meant to define me. I don’t just push boundaries. I create blueprints for those never meant to fit in, build what didn’t exist for me, create for those still on the outside looking in. The misfit in me is methodical, mission-driven, and unafraid. The misfit in me makes room for others.
